News : Green Tips from SEA Solar Store

Oct 1, 2012

 From The Portsmouth Herald.

This week's Green Tips come from Jack Bingham, owner of SEA Solar Store.

1. Consider buying a hybrid vehicle. We went from getting 16 miles per gallon to nearly 50 — that's big bucks. Plus, they're getting more affordable all the time.

2. Invest in window quilts and storm windows. Windows are great to let light in but they also bleed heat. Quilts and storms are a simple and practical option to replacing old windows and can even improve new high-performance windows.

3. Rinnai propane water heaters have optional remote controls that allow you to set the shower temperature to what you want, without using cold water to temper it. Why use 120-degree water when 104 will do nicely?
