As a green dentist, Dr. Nathan Swanson has proven himself and his practice with endless sustainable choices. Swanson, who now only utilizes corn-based rinse cups and biodegradable toothbrushes, has just invested $30,000 in digital x-ray technology. This choice was aimed to better serve his patients, as it exposes only 1/3 of the radiation of conventional x-rays, as well as the environment and it’s paying off.

“My customers often say, ‘All this new technology is really great!’” he says. “But I like to remind them, ‘Yeah, well it is also very green!’”
