KITTERY, Maine — The Kittery Block Party is taking on a life of its own, "and we're holding on for dear life," said organizer Michael Landgarten.

The downtown block party on Saturday, June 18 — a daylong event of music, crafts, children's activities, great food and more — has gone from zero to 100 in no time at all, Landgarten said, as more and more businesses and institutions come on board.

Two sponsors join Landgarten's restaurants, Bob's Clam Hut and Robert's Maine Grill, in the "gold" category: York Hospital and Kennebunk Savings Bank.
