News : Teaming up to save energy: Local firms get funds to forge unions, find investors

DOVER — The renewable energy revolution has come to Exeter schools. Now Dover-based Revolution Energy LLC is looking to help schools and towns fund energy-saving projects across the state thanks to a new partnership between the state and University of New Hampshire.

The company has been awarded $60,000 through the Green Launching Pad, which has $750,000 in stimulus funds to provide companies creating or helping deliver clean-energy products. The companies will be able to pick the brains of business, science and engineering faculty and be connected with angel investors and private sector business mentors.

Revolution Energy's award will cover salary and professional services as the company looks to expand and clear a wait list of projects caused by limited resources, said Mike Behrmann, a graduate of UNH Vermont Law School and one of the company's three principals...
