JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a GRADUATE STUDENT with a solid background in environmental issues/reporting/metrics. The Green Alliance conducts extensive sustainability evaluations with local businesses as part of its green certification program. We are looking for an engaged, committed and mature graduate student that can conduct these sustainability evaluations. Applicant must have excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills and have a background in sustainability. This internship will involve evaluating local businesses with the Green Alliance evaluation process usually at that place of business and extensive research into that industry’s environmental footprint. JOB SKILLS: Internship requirements: A basic understanding of Excel is required as the second part of our sustainability evaluation process includes rating and scoring the business reviewed. Intern must also have good writing skills as the 3rd part of our review involves writing what we call the "Green Story" which is a narrative of that business' best green business practices. A minimum of 8 hrs a week is required for this internship. Own vehicle for travel to Portsmouth office as well as for site visits to the various Business Partners being evaluated. OPEN to ALL MAJORS.
