New Operations Manager

The leading organization in the promotion of socially responsible and sustainable practices in the state of New Hampshire -- New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility -- has an exciting opportunity for the part-time position of Operations Manager. Based in New Hampshire, the Operational Manger will support the Executive Director in advocating, promoting and educating organizations on socially responsible and sustainable business practices. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, highly organized individual, demonstrating a diverse skill set in operations management, bookkeeping and financial reporting, member communications and event logistics management. Experience with social media communication, a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • The part-time operations manager will be responsible for:
  • Daily management of member communications including event reminders, programming opportunities and financial management (billing, etc.)
  • Manage and oversee daily financial aspects of operation
  • Manage meeting planning and event logistics for conferences, webinars, Board of Directors' meetings and partner programs
  • Communication via social media sites: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Communicate with and support organization's committees

Qualifications include strong communication skills, bookkeeping, financial reporting, membership management (or similar experience), specifically:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with A/P, A/R, G/L reconciliation and cash management
  • 2-3 yrs experience with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Accounting software and Social media management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated individual willing to work from home office
  • Background in non-profit member management, a plus
  • Familiarity with grant reporting management, a plus
