Outreach Manager, New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility

The leading organization in the promotion of socially responsible and sustainable business practices in the state of New Hampshire -- New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility -- has an exciting opportunity for a part-time position of Outreach Manager. Based in New Hampshire, the Outreach Manager will support the Executive Director in developing and maintaining strong member relationships, as well as promoting and fostering socially and environmentally responsible business in the state through programming opportunities, business networks and communications.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, highly organized individual, demonstrating effective communications to member networks and media channels, including experience with social media platforms and event logistics management.


The part-time Outreach Manager will be responsible for:

Developing communications based on the PR & Marketing Committee’s Strategic Outreach Plan
Daily management of member communications including event reminders, programming opportunities, educational/informational outreach, member retention activities and new member welcome packages
Developing and effectively distributing press releases for programming, member promotion and branding purposes
Management of meeting planning and event logistics for organizational programming, Board of Directors’ meetings and partner programs
Work with NHBSR’s Social Media Agency to develop effective communication via social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Hangouts
Communicate with and support Board committees
Approximately 20 hours per week (over a minimum of four days per week) with occasional evenings required for organization’s events


Qualifications include strong communication skills, membership management (or similar experience), and event planning skills, specifically:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
2-3 years in-depth experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact (or similar outreach software) and Social media management
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated individual willing to work from your home office
Background in nonprofit member management or a business environment, a plus
