Sep 28 - Climate Solutions for New Hampshire

UNH Law School, 2 White Street Concord, NH

5:30 - 7:30 pm

Public Session on Energy Saving and Climate Solutions in New Hampshire

Get the latest and the greatest about New Hampshire climate solutions and energy saving programs called the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and the Clean Power Plan. New Hampshire has long been a leader for protecting our environment and now is our chance to make the state a leader in climate solutions. Doing more with less energy means reducing dangerous air pollution and climate change causing pollution. Less asthma with more control over your energy bill!

Right now, the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative or RGGI is under review by all of the participating states. Now is the time to make it stronger by lowering the carbon cap annually by 5%, requiring more investments for residential and low income households, closing loopholes, and ensuring fair contribution rates by all energy users.

Speakers include:
Ryan Martel, Ceres Senior Manager, Policy Program
Jordan Stutt, Acadia Institute, Policy Analyst

There will be time to include your suggestions and insights for implementing RGGI - write down your comments with your name, town and contact information and we will ensure that it goes to the correct officials. Free and open to the public. Light refreshments offered. Doors open at 5PM and program starts at 5:30PM.

Sponsors include New Hampshire Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, Environment New Hampshire, Union of Concerned Scientists, Mom's Clean Air Force, National Wildlife Federation, Toxic Action Center, Ceres, Acadia Center, others
