Insulation: the Key to an Energy-Efficient Home

They say that a dollar invested in energy efficiency is worth more than twice as much as a dollar invested in renewable energy.  If so, then how you insulate your home is a major opportunity for optimizing energy efficiency.  Join Tim Stone, host of the Environmental Show, and Candace Lord, General Manager of the Green Cocoon, as they explore the ins and outs of the insulation industry.  If you're a homeowner looking to save energy and money on heating expenses, then this is the show for you!

About Green Cocoon:

Since 2007, the Green Cocoon has been a local leader in the ever-growing green insulation industry. In the years since, the company has grown to include a wide range of green insulation options including spray-foam made from soy beans and recycled plastic bottles, BATT insulation made from recycled denim, as well as a line of cellulose insulation made from recycled newspapers.  Learn more on the Green Cocoon business partner page.

Feb 12 - Net Metering Public Hearing: NH legislators need to hear from you!

33 N State St, Concord, NH 03301 - Legislative Office Building RM 304

10:00 AM

Learn more about the NH net metering issue here.

The public hearing for HB 1116 is scheduled for this Friday (2/12) at 10:00am in Concord, Room 304 of the Legislative Office Building.

Please attend this hearing to support lifting NH's net metering cap and to strengthen the existing legislation. We know how critical net metering is to growing small-scale clean energy in NH. We know that an additional 25 MW to our state's 50 MW cap will likely be insufficient to carry NH through a 10-12 month PUC proceeding - we need to demonstrate that and demonstrate how net metering has benefited families, businesses and ratepayers in NH. Read more about net metering in the Concord Monitor here.

Directly before the hearing, NHSEA and its allies are holding a press conference in support of lifting NH's net metering cap -Please join us in Concord at 9am for this press conference. It is very important to have a large turnout at both this event and the hearing.

Press Conference Details:
Where: Legislative Office Building, Lobby, Concord
When: 9:00am on 2/12
Speakers: Bipartisan leaders from the NH House, Senate and municipalities
Press inquires: Kate Epsen, email or call 603-777-7700

This bill will directly impact all of us. Legislators need to hear from you. Find your Representative here. Send a note to the House Energy Committee:
