Dec 02 - Blue Ocean Society's Year-End Celebration

Dec 06 - Third Stone Farm is Open for Their Last Weekend of the Season

Third Stone Farm is an organic cut your own Christmas tree farm focused on sustainable practices and harvest to grow a handful of varieties of beautiful Christmas trees. The Gaudreau family works to be as environmentally friendly as they can by avoiding pesticides and harsh chemicals, hand pruning their trees, and using captured rainwater for watering. This year, the farm will only be open to the public for one more weekend for customers to pick out their perfect Christmas tree and to check out the other products, such as wreaths and New Hampshire maple syrup and honey. If you have not yet purchased your Christmas tree, stop by Third Stone Farm this Saturday or Sunday between 9:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. to find your family’s Christmas tree, and enjoy a charming and sustainable New England farm. The Brixham Montessori Friends School located in York, ME is hosting an Open House for prospective parents and families. The Open Houses allows caregivers with interest in the school to come and check out the overall facility as well as the classrooms. The tours are lead by the faculty and staff of the school, which allow parents to ask and receive answers to their important questions while visiting the school. After attending one of the Open Houses, the parents and school follow up to do a more personal one-on-one interview specific to family and child. A night of rememberence of the victims of Sandy Hook on the second anniversary of the shootings. The vigil will be held outside. If the weather is incliment the observance will be held inside the church. Please bring a candle or a battery operated candle!

This a great chance to work on a sequence of poses that focus on purification of the body. The poses are arranged in a sequential order, where each posture builds on the previous one, strengthening and returning the body to a state of alignment and balance. Dec 23 - Green Alliance Christmas Bash at the Portsmouth Brewery!

The Green Alliance invites you to join in the holiday merriment this year, with their annual Christmas celebration! GA Business Partner, The Portsmouth Brewery, has graciously offered up their La Ponza lounge for the evening of December 23rd to GA Businesses, Members, family, and friends. It's the most wonderful time of the year, and we can't imagine celebrating without you! 

The event will take place from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Whether you can stay the entire time, or just want to stop by for a quick beer, (the first one is on us!) before running to some neighboring stores to finish up shopping, we want to celebrate with our beloved Green Alliance Community! Appetizers and beverages will be served. After the party, you can head up to the main restaurant and enjoy a full meal, as the Brewery's kitchen is open until 11 p.m.! 

To receive your beer ticket (one ticket per person) we ask that you bring a food-donation item. The donations will be dropped off at Footprints Food Pantry in Kittery. Learn more about the food drive here

Dec 25 - St. John's Episcopal Church Christmas Day Dinner

Thaxter Hall, 100 Chapel St., Portsmouth

3:00 p.m.

St. John's Episcopal Church will host a Christmas dinner at Thaxter Hall, prepared by Scott Massidda and his family, with roasted turkey, ham, vegetables, and all the trimmings. Massidda is co-owner of the Dolphin Striker and owner of MIchelle's Bistro, and also volunteers once a month at the Common Table.

Anyone interested in attending the dinner is asked to call Joanne at the St. John's office at (603) 436- 8283, to give them a head count.
