Jun 01 - Cruise Into Summer With the Green Alliance

Isles of Shoals Steamship Company, 315 Market Street, Portsmouth NH

What could be a better way to kick off the summer than with a Green Alliance party cruise? Join Green Alliance business representatives, Green Card holders and GA staff for live music, dancing and drinks. We'll cruise around Portsmouth Harbor taking in the sites and the wonderful company of our green-minded friends.

Jun 02 - Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Hampshire presents the Third Annual Spring Herb & Garden Day

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Hampshire is bringing the herb and gardening community together on Saturday, June 2nd, for its third annual Spring Herb & Garden Day.

This year's event includes a wonderful group of workshops on herbal medicine, wilderness survival, gardening, herbal food and wine and plant identification and will be held at McLane Audubon Center, 284 Silk Farm Road, in Concord.

Please join NOFA-NH as an exhibitor, advertiser (in their Newsletter) or sponsor. Exhibit space is reasonably priced at $50 for non-NOFA-NH members. Members may purchase exhibit space for $30. Want to save $20 and become a member of NOFA-NH? You can join when you fill out the vendor form. You might also want to consider sponsoring the event.

Sponsorships can be purchased for as little as $50 and provide a variety of marketing benefits. The Green Alliance will be sponsoring this event and will be present with an exhibit booth.

Jun 03 - Field and Spoon Local Farm Dinner

Lee, NH

4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Join us for a cocktail hour, farm tour, and gourmet dinner at Tuckaway Farm in Lee, N.H., featuring Mark Segal, executive chef at The One Hundred Club in Portsmouth. Guest chefs include Lydia Shire Boston, M.A. and Alex Pineda, Waterhouse restaurant, Peterborough N.H. Cocktail hour and farm tours begin at 4:30 p.m., dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $110, all inclusive, including tax and gratuity. Event held rain or shine. The farm dinner serves as a fundraiser for ReRootEd, the Seacoast Local program that expands the role of food in building our local economy. Reservations required.

Jun 11 - Fore Kids Classic

Have you ever wanted to play a round at one of the most prestigious golf courses in New England? What about also helping a vital non-profit organization, the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County? On June 11th at the Golf Club of New England you will get the chanceto do just so.

Taking place at one of the most well-designed golf courses in New England with a variety of fairways, greens and waterways, this course is perfect for experienced golfers or those just looking to have some fun! Of course, whatever your reason for participating, you will be helping the children of Rockingham County, NH. The Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County (CACRC) provides children who have been the subject of abuse and exploitation with a safe environment. The CACRC operates almost entirely off private donation with a small percentage of funding coming from federal grants, so these events are very important for them!

The cost is $200 if registered before May 11th and $250 after. The Rye Farmer's Market will be opening on Wednesday, June 13th in Rye Town Center. Additionally, they are currently taking applications for vendors and for artists and crafts people for the Summer 2012 Farmers' Market.

Jun 16 - "Rock the Block" Kittery Block Party

Downtown Kittery, ME

 The 2nd Annual Kittery Block Party, in beautiful downtown Kittery, Maine, will feature artisans, artists, non-profits, area farmers, and restaurants – with an emphasis on “local” – as well as other community involvement. There will be a children’s area, live entertainment throughout the day, demonstrations and educational exhibits. Entry is FREE to the public.

Proceeds from this years’ block party will benefit Fair Tide, Inc. and the Kittery Recreation Department.

Jun 22 - 25th Annual Trans-NH Bike Ride to benefit MDA, June 22, 23 & 24

The 25thTrans NH Bike Ride to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be held the weekend after Father's Day on June 22, 23 and 24.This ride is a partnership between MDA, the firefighters of New Hampshire and all of the riders and staff who come together to make this the premier cycling fundraiser in New England.

Each year, about 100 cyclists raise money and bike 250 miles across New Hampshire over the course of three days.  Last year, the fundraiser raised over $125,000.000 to help NH residents affected by muscular dystrophy.

Jun 24 - Finish Line Barbecue for 25th Annual Trans-NH Bike Ride

Jun 25 - Jumpstart Mobile Application Development Boot Camp

NH Community Colleges

9:30am - 11:30am

The Jumpstart Mobile Application Development Boot Camp is a new program for high school age students who are interested in learning about web, computer, tablet, and smartphone programming. Due to the generosity of the Community College System of NH, and the University System of NH, this summer bootcamp is being offered at a discount of $299. This includes a full class schedule starting on June 25th through August 10th - 21 full sessions as well as 21 additional lab sessions including lunch comes with the package.

Take note that early registration end on May 25th! The first 15 students who register will get full access to computer equipment, resources, and labs at Great Bay Community College.
