The Wildlife Inspired Living Discovery (W.I.L.D.) Center and Zoological Park of New England is a non-profit organization based in Rochester, NH that provides environmental and biodiversity education and conservation advocacy. The mission of The W.I.L.D. Center is to connect children and adults with animals and nature while demonstrating and inspiring responsible stewardship of our planet’s global biodiversity.
The W.I.L.D. Center’s facility is currently home to over 70 species of non releasable wildlife. These animals serve as ambassadors and assist our professional Educators in the delivery of our Wildlife Encounters® outreach services. These programs which are delivered year-round throughout New England are currently the primary method by which The W.I.L.D. Center educates the public, advocates for animals/wildlife and promotes environmental conservation.
The W.I.L.D. Center’s operations are overseen by a dedicated Board of Directors which takes great pride in the organization’s work to promote responsible healthy living practices, while working toward the goal of a society more in touch with its natural ancestral heritage and beauty. The culmination of this vision will be the construction and opening to the public of a new multi-faceted W.I.L.D. Center, with educational facilities, and a Zoological Park unlike anything the region has ever seen before!
As a non-profit charitable organization, the W.I.L.D. Center's relies on the support of the public, private donations, volunteerism, grants, endowments and in-kind donations of services, all of which are essential to the well being of the W.I.L.D. Center’s animals and mission. Although the existing facility isn’t open to the public, interested parties should contact The W.I.L.D. Center’s business office directly with inquiries regarding the Wildlife Encounters® programs and other opportunities to get involved!
