Green Story
Simply Green is a trailblazer, bringing transformative and meaningful greener fuel choices to the Seacoast. They offer American-grown, soy and tallow-based Bioheat and
biodiesel as an alternative to standard #2 home heating oil and petroleum diesel. SG’s biofuels significantly reduce CO2 emissions and other pollutants as compared to fossil fuels, are free of sulfur and aromatics, biodegradable and nontoxic. A typical household using B20 Bioheat reduces CO2 emissions by 15% and particulate pollution by 20% -- emitting 3,200 lbs less CO2 annually. A diesel vehicle using biodiesel B20 emits 2,400 lbs less CO@ annually. Simply Green is also the only source of B100, 100% vegetable or recycled animal oil, in the region and with their new Biofuels Filling Station in Dover – biodiesel is now readily available to Seacoast residents. A vehicle using B100 emits 12,000 lbs less CO2 annually. Biodiesel emits 7.6 pounds of C02 per gallon, for a 68 percent reduction in C02 over petrodiesel. Bioheat and Biodiesel can be run with little to no modifications to diesel vehicles and oil burning furnaces.

What makes us green?
- Bioheat significantly reduces CO2 emissions and other pollutants as compared to fossil fuels, it is free of sulfur and aromatics and is biodegradable and nontoxic
- A typical household using B20 Bioheat will reduce CO2 emissions by 15% and particulate pollution by 20% -- emitting 3,200 lbs less CO2 annually.
- A diesel vehicle using Biodiesel B20 will emit 2,400 lbs less CO2 annually.
- Simply Green is the only local source of B100 – allowing Seacoast residents with diesel engines/equipment to run 100% vegetable fuel in the warm months.
- A vehicle using B100 is emitting 12,000 lbs less CO2 annually.
- Bioheat and Biodiesel can be run with little to no modifications and costs the same or less than standard home heating oil.
- Biodiesel emits 7.6 pounds of C02 per gallon, for a 68 percent reduction in C02 over petrodiesel.
- SG uses only American grown soy, a by-product of the soy feed industry so it is not in direct competition with food stocks (the soy bean is used for another purpose, so that soy biofuel is an efficient use of the crop)
- American sourcing also cuts down on the transportation of the fuel (with much of petroleum coming from the Middle East)
- SG’s tallow-based biodiesel is even more sustainable than soy-based bio with a higher energy equation. Tallow is recycled animal fat
- SG has invested in research at UNH to be able to offer algae-based biodiesel that is grown right here in NH. Algae biofuels is the most sustainable feedstock for biodiesel
- SG’s exhaustive education campaign has raised the profile of alternative fuels on the Seacoast, using community-based education campaigns to raise the profile of biofuels
- Donates time and product to countless environmental and community events.
- Their creative marketing has generated media attention about the many issues surrounding alternative fuel choices, and elevated the fuel efficiency/pollution discussion to an everyday topic.
- SG offsets its petroleum portion of fuel burned in deliveries with carbon credits purchased from CARBONFREEDOM, making all their deliveries carbon neutral
- Use recycled paper in the office and on promotional material and organic cotton for company hats, t-shirts and sweatshirts.
- SG recycles and has switched to corn-based biobags for fuel bills.
