Over a decade of computer IT expertise under his belt, Brian Yurick decided to strike out on his own in 2010, launching Home Town Technology Consultants shortly thereafter. Recognizing a need from area small businesses and individuals for dedicated IT services and basic computer repairs, Yurick has set out to shape a suite of services as effective as they are friendly on the wallet. Today, HTTC offers services ranging from simple software updates to major hardware replacement, virus removal, system or network monitoring (including email and website hosting and backup solutions) and everything in between.

What’s more, Yurick’s emphasis on utilizing “cloud” technology – which allows clients to store their information on remote servers – makes his a business on the cutting edge of green technology solutions. Indeed, moving to the cloud can help a business not only better organize their information; it can also help them save big bucks on energy by reducing their dependance on physical servers, which can be a waste of both physical resources and energy (running the servers, paying for the air conditioning to cool down an office with multiple servers, etc.)

Additionally, HTTC offers unique “virtualization” services. Similar in conception to how the cloud works, virutalization allows a business with multiple servers – each of which might be tasked with different storage rolls – an opportunity to put them on one piece of hardware.
