With simplicity and vision, eco-friendly outerwear firm, Green Fashion Line, is revolutionizing the way we think about T-shirts. By offering 100% recycled cotton T-shirts, milled and manufactured in the U.S.A., Green Fashion Line is greening the fashion industry at its roots and bringing awareness to consumers on the environmental impact of the clothes we wear. Founder Paul Towle boils down GFL’s philosophy to one basic tenet, “We don’t need to grow trees to make paper; we can recycle paper to make paper. The same is true for clothing. We already have the fabric available – so why grow more cotton to produce more clothing?”

Towle has a deeply rooted passion for this cause. As a youth, Towle grew up in NH and watched the local river turn colors from the dyes and waste dumped by a textile factory. “We had a family camp on a lake, and downstream became so polluted we could not eat the fish or swim without being covered in algae.” Towle turned this childhood experience into positive fuel for his graduate work in Corporate Social Responsibility at Southern New Hampshire University. In 2007, with the help of a CSR professor, Green Fashion Line was born.
