Financial advisor Eric Flaim, of Ameriprise Financial, isn’t your typical financial planner. Unlike many financial professionals who simply take your money and invest with the sole purpose of generating a gain, the Portsmouth-based Flaim prides himself on finding solutions for small business owners and individuals which take their beliefs, values, and core principles into account. With nine years of industry experience, Flaim joined Ameriprise in 2009 to better provide knowledge along with experience to the greater Seacoast community.

A graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Vermont, Flaim also boasts quite a remarkable back story: Flaim participated in four Winter Olympics for the US in the sports of long track and short track Speedskating. Upon setting a new world record he took home Silver in the 1500m from Calgary in '88 and then in Lillehamer he picked up his second as the anchor for the 5000m relay team, earning him the distinction as the first American in Winter Games history to win medals in two different events.
