Walk up to the entrance of the Blue Moon Market and Café and you’re immediately struck with an unmistakably warm, inviting feeling. A community bulletin board graces the entryway, educating and engaging customers on behalf of local happenings at Blue Moon Yoga and beyond. Inspirational words from customers pepper the walls of the Café and Market; musings which reflect clients’ positive feelings. Educational opportunities abound: notes educate customers about the importance of reusable cups and silverware; posters remind of discounts for bringing your own bag or coffee mug; post-its prod customers to take only the napkins they will use; and a sign near the register tells customers how and why they use organic ingredients. Books and magazines on sustainable and healthy living are available to read on location. In short, the Blue Moon is an exercise in sustainability – a business yes, but also a conscious manifestation of truly holistic living.
