With more than 10 years of experience in the field (including for 4 summers while attending UNH), Jason DeVincenzo knows a little something about the painting profession. He also knew that, after graduating, he didn’t want to jump right into a 9-to-5 office job. In 2005 he launched his own company, Any Season Painting. Base in Hampton and servicing everywhere from York, Maine to the New Hampshire Seacoast to Newburyport, Any Seasons specializes in both exterior and interior home painting projects.

At first, DeVincenzo was content to simply grow his business as quickly as possible, assembling a crew of 30 and doing as many jobs as they could manage. But after a while, DeVincenzo began noticing that his clientele was more concerned with higher quality and better, greener alternatives than anything else. Slowly, he began to transition his business towards those two goals, incorporating low and no-VOC alternatives for paints, stains, and primers. But they’ve also found less assuming ways to help make their business more eco friendly, including using protective paper floor linings made of recycled materials.

Unlike many other green or eco-friendly products and services – particularly in light of the harsh economy – DeVincenzo has found his transition to green to be easier than he thought. This has to do in large part with the fact that, unlike cars or food or any number of consumer products, one’s choice in paint is one they’ll literally be surrounded by for years. That’s why DeVincenzo and his crew of 2 go out of their way to educate the consumer as to how choosing cleaner greener alternatives is as much an investment in their future as it is a change in style.
