Human resources can be a difficult area to grasp, especially for those who are not experts in the field. Small business owners often don’t have the time or knowledge to be faced with the tasks of hiring, managing, and terminating employees; however, human resource companies offer step by step plans and guidance to help businesses better understand the process.

To educate businesses on the current trends and issues, Cultural Chemistry will host a Breakfast & Brain Power event, HR for Non-HR Professionals, on July 15, from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. The discussion will include the ten most common violations found by the New Hampshire Department of Labor, how to manage the new generation in the workplace, and how to attract workers that want to work with great benefits. Cultural Chemistry will have human resources consultants, employment attorneys, and an insurance benefits specialist available to answer any questions guests may have.

Cultural Chemistry takes a unique approach to increase business dynamics and efficiency at a fraction of the cost of a traditional HR business. The sustainable company helps businesses improve their structure with environmentally friendly approaches catered to specific business types and sizes. Offering a variety of workshops and individual business appointments, Cultural Chemistry can help improve everything from a company’s hiring approach to communication within the business community.

Owner, Mirjam IJtsma, launched Cultural Chemistry in 2011 with the goal to help businesses run a more positive and dynamic work place. Part of Cultural Chemistry’s success depends on its sustainable in-office environment as well as passion for working to help the natural environment.

Originally from the Netherlands, where environmental responsibility is a crucial community pillar, IJtsma brings environmental concerns to the work place, educating both employees and clients on the value of executing a sustainable company culture. This includes not wasting resources, building green teams and integrating sustainability and responsible practices to make a company more successful, resourceful and more desirable to work for.The Cultural Chemistry office boasts a geothermal system, efficient lighting and EnergyStar appliances and employees use refillable office products to reduce waste. Additionally, the company utilizes online and electronic methods to transfer documents, which eliminates paper waste.

The HR for Non-HR Professionals event will be held at the Cultural Chemistry office, 150 Dow Street, Manchester, from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. on July 15. The discussion costs $15.00 and includes coffee and light refreshments.
