Blog : Meet Anne Twombly, the newest member of the GA Team!

Hello, I’m Anne Twombly, the new Marketing Assistant at the Green Alliance. I just graduated in May from the University of New Hampshire with my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Painting and a minor in Business Administration. I studied visual arts in college because I’m interested in the potential for art and design to affect us as individuals, enhance our experiences, and essentially draw emotion from us. I am interested ultimately in applying this aesthetics education to creative business.

While at UNH, I was a member and eventually captain of the Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams. I thoroughly enjoyed the community and camaraderie involved in being part of my team under the larger umbrella of the Athletic Department. The experience of Division 1 athletics in college has instilled in me a profound belief in the transformative power of collective focus, integrity and service.

I have always been passionate about personal responsibility in respect to consumption. In a corporately driven country like the United States, we cast our most influential vote to ballot every day through each dollar we spend on the consumption of goods and services. I believe it’s our duty to consider our options and be selective as to where our money goes as consumers and citizens of the world. The Green Alliance is an organization that brings visibility to the companies that are exemplary in their sustainability initiatives.

I look forward to applying the creative skills I’ve developed from my experience in college, to elevating and expanding the reach of the good work that the Green Alliance does, with a focus on making the overall visual experience of the organization better for members, business partners and the greater community.

As I acclimate to my new position I’d love to hear from both the GA business community and the member community on ways to make this organization stronger. Is there a business you’d like to see in the GA? Do you have an idea for an impactful event? Do you have strategies you’d like to share with me on how we can grow our membership? If you do please don’t hesitate to share them with me at

In the meantime I look forward to meeting you in person at the upcoming Green Alliance Summer Party Cruise on June 13th aboard the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company’s Thomas Laighton. Be sure to rsvp to to reserve your spot if you are already a GA member. If you still need to join (and by the way…..what are you waiting for?) you can do so for just $25 and get one free party cruise ticket as well! Just drop us a line!
