Blog : Green Living Store for Sale

By John | May 5, 2015 | in

Below is a message from Deborah de Moulpied, owner and founder of Bona Fide Green Goods, an earth-friendly department store in Concord, NH. Deborah has been in business since 2007 and has also founded Green Concord, an alliance of local businesses that offer environmentally-friendly products and services. She is a faculty member at the Payson Cancer Center as well, where she teaches about environmental toxins for the Anticancer Lifestyle Program. Deborah’s store leads the retail industry in conscious consumerism, offering high-quality, affordable, and sustainable products.

Even though Bona Fide Green Goods is located in Concord, NH, we have enjoyed a great many customers from the Seacoast area. After being in business for 8 years, we are ready to move forward with new phases of our lives. I will be moving on to write a book, still with the environment in mind - The Cancer Free Home. It is our hope to transfer the business to someone who will continue our passion for green living.

Bona Fide Green Goods started out as Real Green Goods back in 2007 at the peak of the new green living movement. It was an exciting time. Green Concord was formed shortly after that as the first trade association for green businesses. Shortly after that, Green Alliance was formed by Sarah Brown and the rest is history!

We've seen a lot of changes - a lot of good changes. Green living has gone more main stream, which is all good news. Sustainability and energy efficiency is now common place.

Still, there is progress to be made with local, fair trade and organics. We hope New Hampshire continues with this progression with the help of organizations such as Green Alliance.

The Retirement Sale begins this Wednesday, May 6th. We hope to see our Seacoast customers. If anyone is interested in buying the business, do not hesitate to be in touch.
