With 17 locations throughout seacoast New Hampshire and York County, Maine, Kennebunk Savings Bank continues to grow, hiring Kelly Goodwin as its new Retail Lending Officer. Goodwin will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to Kennebunk Savings's Strafford and Rockingham county locations from his office in Dover, New Hampshire. By hiring Goodwin, Kennebunk Savings is confident he will help ensure future growth and success for the local banking institution.

Goodwin joins Kennebunk Savings with nearly 30 years of experience under his belt and was most recently the Vice President of Loan Administration at Portsmouth's Optima Bank & Trust. Additionally, Goodwin has served as a Loan Recovery Officer, Vice President and Operations Officer, and Senior Loan Officer at banking and lending businesses across New England.

Goodwin not only has an extensive history in the banking industry, but also a deep commitment to the community: a value that pairs perfectly with Kennebunk Savings Bank own core values. Over the years, Goodwin has given back to the seacoast community by volunteering with the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, Eliot Community Service Department and the local United Way chapter.

Kennebunk Savings Bank has taken great strides to give back to the community by regularly donating used office furniture and equipment to local charities and nonprofits, like Ruth’s Reusable Resources. Located in Portland, Maine, the organization guarantees that area schools have the necessary resources for learning by giving surplus business supplies to classrooms in need. At the same time, Kennebunk Savings has pledged to give at least 10 percent of their annual earnings back to local charities with a focus on education, the environment, the arts and community improvement.

Kennbunk Savings also aims to make their company as green as possible through a lengthy list of environmental initiatives. The bank developed a company-wide recycling program, has switched all lightbulbs to more energy efficient CFL and LED alternatives at branch locations, uses advanced plumbing fixtures for water conservation, and uses organic cleaning and lawn care products when available.

Dedication to the environment and community is what makes Kennebunk Savings Bank stand out amongst its peers. Banking and lending institutions strive to increase their assets and expand in the financial market, but Kennebunk Savings does so with a commitment to community and environment in mind.
