By Ken | Jan 26, 2015 | in

Former Green Alliance Director of Media Jim Cavan, and his wife Deana Cavan, continue their battle to keep their 9 month old son Everett "Rett" Cavan healthy. The story about Rett's battle with an aggressive form of cancer and the Cavan family's incredible resilience was published in both The Portsmouth Herald and Foster's Daily Democrat.

Rett was diagnosed with a rhabitoid tumor and has been battling the aggressive cancer at Children's Hospital in Boston. At nine months of age, Rett has already gone through doses of chemotherapy and had an operation, both with amazing results, but he still has a long way to go. The story tells the struggle Rett has gone through and the amazing strength he has shown through adversity. The story also tells the struggles and strength of his parents, Jim and Deana Cavan, and how going through this fight to keep Rett healthy has changed them and their outlook on life.
