With the winter season fast approaching, New Hampshire residents are preparing for another long stretch of cold and snowy months. Most residents have secured heating fuel to keep them warm until spring, but no need to worry if you have been holding out because Our Town Energy Alliance still has great pricing for the upcoming season.

Our Town Energy Alliance began as a cooperative to save senior citizens money on heating fuel when it was established in 1999 by the Barraford family. Since it was launched, the business has expanded from 75 members to more than 15,000 in 2013 and now offers a range of services to maximize energy efficiency and savings. Our Town Energy Alliance launched Our Town Electricity enabling them to purchase electricity through the New England Power Pool, which includes energy from alternative sources. Using energy created from wind, bio-mass, and hydroelectric plants, in addition to other energy outlets, allows consumers to reduce their carbon footprint, in comparison to providers that use mostly coal alone.

Residents and businesses can join Our Town Energy Alliance for a small membership fee and are able to enjoy the hefty savings that come from being a member. Thanks to the purchasing power that is created, the business is then able to negotiate low heating fuel prices for oil, propane, and kerosene for its members. In addition to the high level of savings associated with becoming a member, Our Town Energy Alliance also helps keep money in local economies and minimizes consumer’s environmental footprints.

Those who have not yet purchased heating fuel for this upcoming winter are still able to buy from Our Town Energy Alliance at competitive prices. Through Fielding’s Oil and Propane, members in Eastern New Hampshire and Maine can purchase oil pre-buy at $3.399/gallon and kerosene at $3.859/gallon, as well as propane at a low price. Members residing in the north country of New Hampshire are able to purchase fuel through Our Town Energy Alliance’s vendor Carroll County Oil at $3.43/gallon for oil and $3.859/gallon for kerosene. If you are still in search of low fuel prices to fill up for this winter, contact Our Town Energy Alliance before you run out!
