Blog : Green Alliance and Ultra Geothermal Benefit Yard Sale

By Magill | Jun 11, 2014 | in

In support of Travis Aho's battle with Leukemia, the Green Alliance is working with Ultra Geothermal to put on a yard sale.  Travis Aho, brother of Ultra Geothermal owner Melissa, is originally from Sullivan NH and is a graduate of Keene State.  His career as a firefighter has taken him all over the United States and has placed him in Florida for the past ten years.  He currently works as a law enforcement officer for the U.S. department of Agriculture in the Ocala National Forest. Aho has been battling Leukemia since December 2013 and is currently struggling with the financial burden of the disease.

Travis learned he had leukemia in December of 2013 and has since had a hard battle. Please visit to learn more about Travis and how you can help him and others suffering. In order to help relieve his stress Melissa decided to organize a yard sale for his benefit with the help of the Green Alliance and our 115 business partners.

With the support of all these local businesses we hope this yard sale will be full of donations to benefit his cause.  Some proceeds will also support the Green Alliance non-profit fund in efforts to keep our communities green! In addition to the yard sale there will be a bake-sale full of delicious treats to enjoy while shopping around. The proceeds from the bake-sale will benefit the NH food bank.

While donating to both the Travis Aho Leukemia Fund and the Green Alliance Non-profit Fund, participating in this event is also a great opportunity to recycle.  If you need to get rid of anything lying around the house, this is the perfect opportunity to donate! Your trash may be someone elses treasure. Any yard sale appropriate donations or baked goods are greatly appreciated and they can be dropped off at Ultra Geothermal. You can also call to arrange for someone to pick up your donations. Special thanks to Green Alliance business partner, Get it Going, for helping to organize and sponsor the event.

The event will take place at Ultra Geothermal on July 26th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To have your donations picked up please call Melissa at 603-380-6126.
