Blog : Comedy Show benefiting Travis Aho Leukemia Fund

Melissa Aho of Ultra Geothermal, a Green Alliance Business Partner, is putting on a stand-up comedy night benefiting Travis Aho's Leukemia Fund. Travis, originally from Sullivan NH, currently lives in Travares FL. His career as a firefighter has allowed him to travel all around the U.S. His current work is a law enforcement officer for the U.S department of Agriculture in the Ocala National Forest.

Travis attended Keene State College receiving a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies. After college, he found a passion in fighting forest fires and helping with natural disasters. Travis used his skills to assist with hurricane Katrina and the 911 attacks. He was also sent to the Midwest and California to help fight forest fires.

Travis, Melissa's brother, was diagnosed in January with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Today, Travis wants to point out, “That cancer can attack anyone at anytime, even me at the age of 37 I had not imagined my everyday life would ever change so drastically in a few weeks time.”

 

Tickets to this comedy event are $25 and will feature New Jersey comedian Doug Karpf, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Travis' in his fight against leukemia. To learn how you can attend this fun night
