Friends and members, please welcome Community Toolbox, Inc. to the Green Alliance!

One saying goes: out with the old and in with the new. But there's also the saying, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Community Toolbox
is a nonprofit in Portsmouth that accepts donations of new and used home building supplies they then sell at their outlet store. Funds from these sales support their Fix-It program, the driving cause behind the business.

Tom Boisvert, chairman, and Cheryl Van Allen, executive director, saw a great number of homeowners in the community who could not afford to keep their homes safe and healthy, putting aside repairs in order to buy food and pay their bills. In keeping with Community Toolbox's core belief, that “everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home,” the Fix-It program provides small home repairs to local homeowners in financial need. The nonprofit keeps the repairs affordable by providing volunteer labor, and asks only for payment of the materials used in the job, which are discounted due to working partnerships with caring, local vendors.

Community Toolbox is truly a win-win business for all involved, and we're extremely happy to have them as our newest Business Partners!
