Blog : ReVision Energy Celebrates Solar Installations in Durham

By Mary | Feb 28, 2014 | in

Green Alliance Business Partner ReVision Energy has teamed up with the Durham Energy Committee to install solar panels in three of Durham’s town buildings. They are hosting two separate events to celebrate and spread solar awareness. On March 6, the two businesses will co-host a community mixer and pot luck at the Durham Public Library located on 49 Madbury Road.

Several Durham restaurants have generously offered to provide food for the pot luck. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ReVision Energy is going to make a donation to the Cornucopia Food Pantry of Waysmeet Center in Durham following the dinner. This event will certainly spark conversion about solar energy in the local community. Those interested in attending the delicious pot luck should contact Kimry Corrette at or (603)-679-1777.

If you can’t make the mixer, there is another way to be a part of Durham’s sustainability efforts! The second event powered by ReVision Energy is a free skate open to the public. Durham residents are encouraged to come skate with their family and friends on March 9 at the Churchill Rink in Durham. The Churchill Rink is one of the three new buildings installed with solar panels. Join Revision and DEC at 9 Piscataqua Drive from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m for a fun afternoon of ice skating. Coffee, hot chocolate and pastries will be provided. Skate rentals are limited, so please try to bring your own. The Community Free Skate is free and open to all!
