PORTSMOUTH — Two Ceres Street provides a warm and elegant dining experience. Chef Dennis Maggera's menu features an eclectic array of dishes that utilize local ingredients and seasonal selections. The menu is changed and added to frequently to keep up with what’s fresh and locally available. Two Ceres Street not only includes more sustainable options in its cuisine, but also in virtually all aspects of its dining room.

The bar and shelves, and the vanity in the bathroom are all made from paper stone derived from 70 percent post consumer recycled paper. The bar front and table tops are Kirei board, a strong, lightweight, and environmentally friendly substitute for wood made from rapidly renewable and reclaimed agriculture fibers such as sorghum.

The wine and bar cabinetry is made from reclaimed wood gathered from 100-year-old wooden doors. All of the metal work is done by local blacksmith Peter Hapney; art work done by Lisa Grey and the fabric is all handmade and local; wool rugs are all sustainably harvested and furniture is FSC certified and the plan is to build wood tables from reclaimed materials.

Even the finest details reflect its commitment to sustainable and local design. Decorative glass pieces containing local sea glass, beach stone, and no-water moss line the windows. A piece of a 100-year-old silver maple that was uprooted in a storm on the Great Bay hangs on the wall as a charming piece of art.

Two Ceres Street also provides a great lounge space for larger parties. From business gatherings to birthdays, the Two Ceres Street lounge and staff can accommodate all of your entertaining needs. The all-leather seating is made with certified sustainable hardwoods. Salvaged natural tree stump tables/seating create a casual and relaxing feel for guests.
