“Our mission is to encourage and support the thought-to-action moment of notable things… people, ideas, organizations, companies, or anything else.”
— Jill Goyette, co-owner of Get it Going

On Feb. 2, Get it Going will be participating in the Penguin Plunge. This is the 15th annual Penguin Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics New Hampshire. Participants who raise $350 earn the experience of “The Plunge.” Plungers will run into the Atlantic Ocean during the heart of winter at Hampton Beach.

Get it Going is run by business partners and sisters-in-law Jill Spring and Natasha Goyette. GiG offers lifestyle apparel that is made in the USA and responsibly sourced. It supplies an array of hoodies, tees, and stickers with their logo. Not only does it offers consumers quality products, its mission is also to be involved in its community and causes around the world.

Portions of all profits from their tee shirts go to a different charity fund each month. This month every purchase made at GiG will in turn be donated to World Vision, an organization that supports children and communities who are suffering from issues related to poverty, health, and natural disasters.

GiG doesn’t stop with just one charity fund a month; it takes various other steps to reach out to its community. It promotes local fundraisers and raises awareness for local causes. GiG’s Web site also includes “GiG Challenges,” which are tips and ideas to help people improve their lives and challenge themselves. You can also offer feedback about what you do to volunteer, set goals, smile, or any other stories you may have to share. GiG is partnered with many local eco-friendly businesses.
