By | Sep 29, 2010 | in

Interested in learning about green building?  At the Building New Hampshire Trade Show and Conference you can learn about building from the design stage all the way through to completion with sustainability in mind.  Whether you are just building your own home or building is your profession, there will be something there for you!

Green Alliance will be in attendance with a booth both days and is helping to promote the conference.  Executive director Sarah Brown is also conducting two seminars, the Green Building Roundtable, Thursday from 12-1 and the Marketing Green Seminar.

Also in attendance are three of Green Alliance's own business partners.  Jeffrey Haydock from Waterline Alternative Energies is also presenting Thursday from 9:30-10:30 with a seminar called Alternative Energies 101: The Basics of Wind and Solar.  This seminar will cover the types of renewable solutions available for both residential and commercial buildings.  Their team of experts will explain briefly how each technology works. They will provide you with an overview of the process they take from initial site evaluation to final installation including areas such as grant and rebate applications, permitting and normal project timelines. As builders, remodelers, construction professionals, contractors and designers, your clients will soon be asking how they can incorporate alternative energy into their homes and/or places of work. After attending this class, you will be able to provide high level answers and have a trusted professional to call on for questions, answers and partnership opportunities.

Ridgeview Construction will also be in attendance, running the Green Certification Roundtable Wednesday from 8:30-9:15am. You’ve heard the acronyms: HERS ratings, USGBC LEED for Homes, and NAHB NGBS. Now learn from a panel of experts what they mean, why they matter, and what it takes to get your buildings certified. Q & A will follow the presentations.

Jack Bingham of Seacoast Energy Alternatives will present Solar Hotwater Demystified Wednesday from 4-5pm.  Using Solar hot water for heating has always been a goal for Northern New England. Jack will review the problems to date and the latest solutions being employed on real residential and commercial projects. Solar hot water air conditioning will also be discussed.

Come to the Trade Show and Conference, November 2, 3, and 4 at the Grappone Center in Concord NH and visit the Green Alliance booth, and enjoy seminars from GA business partners!  To register or for the full schedule of events click here!
